During the summer of 2017 I had the privilege of working as a Graphic Design Intern at Ritual, a woman’s daily vitamin and habit company located in Culver City, California. During my time at Ritual I worked under the supervision of Creative Director Michelle Mattar on a range of projects in different areas of design including layout, email marketing, illustration, packaging and print.

While at Ritual I had the opportunity to assist Michelle in the design and creation of new packaging for all orders following the first month. The goal was to reduce Rituals impact on the environment while also being more cost effective. We wanted the two packaging systems to compliment one another and to hold true to the strong brand visuals already in place.

My concept was to use Ritual’s logo as a starting point to generate a fun, fresh pattern. We associate confetti with parties or celebrations and I wanted women to feel that when they received their new bottle of Ritual vitamins, to be excited about their health and to celebrate taking an intentional step towards wellness and good habit making.
